A Vision Takes Shape

We’ve just secured rezoning approval for an exciting new retail development in Angier, North Carolina! This milestone paves the way for a grocery-anchored shopping center in Harnett County—one set to redefine the local retail landscape and spark economic growth in this dynamic region. (Triangle Business Journal)

Located along the new Highway 55 Bypass with connectivity to Highway 210, this development is designed to serve Angier’s growing community while tapping into its prime location. We’re crafting a modern center featuring a state-of-the-art grocery anchor, vibrant in-line retail spaces, and prime outparcels—ideal for everything from quick bites to essential services. With rezoning now approved, we’re moving full speed ahead on finalizing the design and securing tenants who share our vision for a thriving retail hub.

Why Angier? Why Now?

Known as the “Town of Crepe Myrtles,” Angier is blooming—both literally and figuratively. Just 20 miles south of Raleigh, it’s perfectly positioned to ride the Triangle’s growth wave. The new Highway 55 Bypass and linkage to Highway 210 unlock fresh traffic potential, connecting Angier to Lillington and beyond. Harnett County’s population is on the rise, and with it, the demand for convenient, modern retail.

This isn’t just about bricks and mortar—it’s about strengthening community. A grocery-anchored center brings fresh food access, local jobs, and a new gathering spot for Angier’s residents. It’s an opportunity to enhance the town’s charm while fueling its future.

What’s Next?

With rezoning secured, our team is collaborating with engineers to refine the site plan—think smooth traffic flow, ample parking, and a layout that sets tenants up for success. We’re in discussions with major grocers active in the Raleigh market to anchor this project. Our goal is a tenant mix that blends daily essentials with standout offerings, turning this center into a true destination.

For the outparcels, we’re targeting high-traffic concepts—think coffee drive-thrus, banks, or fast-casual dining—that leverage the highway exposure. Investors and tenants, this is your moment to join a project with big potential.

A Nod to Our Roots

Led by our Greensboro-based firm and Raleigh-based project lead, Wesley Fricks, Simpson Commercial Real Estate is proud to drive smart growth across North Carolina. The Angier development reflects our commitment to projects that create lasting value for communities and stakeholders alike. Thanks to Harnett County’s support and our partners’ trust, we’re shaping the future of retail—one crepe myrtle at a time.

Stay tuned for updates as we near groundbreaking.
